Role Overview
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will support day-to-day operations across purchasing, logistics, and vendor management. You will gain exposure to the full supply chain lifecycle within an aerosol and liquid contract packaging environment, working cross-functionally with Sales, Technical, Customer Service, and Production teams.
This role is well-suited for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how products move from raw materials through production and into the hands of national retail partners.
This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is eager to build foundational skills in supply chain and manufacturing, and who is looking for more than a passive learning experience.
This is a part-time position. Hours and schedule will be determined based on mutual availability and business needs.
What You'll Do
This internship spans multiple areas of the supply chain function, with a balance of support work and real project involvement. You will:
Purchasing & Sourcing
- Support negotiation of pricing, terms, and delivery timelines
- Assist in identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives
- Plan and issue purchase orders aligned with production schedules
- Monitor material availability and help proactively resolve shortages
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Support coordination of inbound materials and outbound product flow
- Help ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production needs
- Track and communicate changes across cost fluctuations, material availability, commodity trends, and production schedule adjustments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Technical, Customer Service, and Production teams
Data & Process Development
- Analyze data to support purchasing and logistics decisions
- Assist in ERP system item creation and workflow processes
- Help develop inventory and logistics management processes
Vendor & Project Support
- Help build and maintain strong vendor and logistics partner relationships
- Support sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and specialty components for new products
What You Bring
You are a motivated, detail-oriented student or recent graduate with a genuine interest in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations. You bring:
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field
- Genuine interest in purchasing, sourcing, logistics, or manufacturing operations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage time-sensitive priorities
- A team-oriented, collaborative approach with high initiative and self-motivation
Additionally valued:
- Exposure to data analysis, ERP systems, or coding
- Prior internship or coursework in supply chain, logistics, or a related field
- Interest in mechanical, chemical, or industrial supply chains
