Plastic Flaw Repair Coatings

Correct cosmetic blemishes for a seamless and perfect finish on molded plastic parts. Available in Clear and Black

Per-Fix® Specialty Coatings

In the plastics industry, it’s common for molded parts to have defects, detracting from the quality of the part. Manufacturing imperfections such as knit lines, flow lines, and gloss imperfections result in rejected parts, increased scrap rates and rework. Part rejection is both expensive and time-consuming, but with Per-Fix® flaw repair coatings, you now have the choice of permanently restoring the part to perfect condition in less than 30 seconds.

Per-Fix® Flaw Repair Coatings

Per-Fix® Clear

Per-Fix Flaw Repair Coatings (Clear-Unpigmented) is a micro-thin, clear coating engineered to permanently repair cosmetic defects such as knit lines, flow lines, localized gloss variation, and other surface blemishes in a single, easy application. The coating flashes off in seconds, dries fast enough for immediate racking, same day transfer, next-day shipment, and restores mold surfaces to like-new condition with no change to color or gloss by optically normalizing the surface at the defect site.

Per-Fix is offered in five specialized product series, each formulated to address cosmetic defects on specific resin families, including PP, TPO, ABS, PVC, Nylon, Styrene, and Polycarbonate. Each series utilizes a resin-specific adhesion system designed to bond tenaciously to the targeted substrate, restoring mold surfaces to like-new condition with no change to color or gloss by optically normalizing the surface at the defect site, ensuring a durable, permanent repair rather than a temporary cosmetic mask.

Per-Fix is intended for interior parts only and can be applied directly at the mold station or in a secondary repair area, minimizing downtime and eliminating the need for polishing, reworking, or mold removal.
Per-Fix® Black

Per-Fix Black is a micro-thin, black-pigmented coating engineered to quickly and economically repair severe cosmetic defects on black molded parts. Designed for applications where color matching is not required, Per-Fix Black provides effective defect coverage without the added complexity of a full Colormatch system.

Per-Fix Black utilizes a standard black pigment system optimized for broad compatibility across common black resins, delivering consistent appearance and uniform gloss with minimal film build. The coating flashes off rapidly, dries fast enough for immediate racking and next-day shipment, and restores visual uniformity without altering part geometry.

Per-Fix Black is intended for interior applications and can be applied directly at the mold station or in a secondary repair area, minimizing downtime, reducing scrap, and providing a cost-effective solution for high-volume black parts where speed and simplicity are critical.
Per-Fix® Color Match™

Per-Fix Colormatch is a micro-thin, color- and gloss-matched coating engineered to repair more pronounced cosmetic defects where additional hiding power is required. Designed for defects that cannot be fully corrected with our standard Per-Fix Claw Repair (Clear-Unpigmented) alone.  Per-Fix Colormatch restores exacting visual uniformity while maintaining the original appearance of the molded part.  It’s formulated in resin-specific versions for PP, TPO, PVC/Vinyl, and ABS, with each system utilizing a tailored adhesion chemistry to ensure durable and permanent bonding to the targeted substrate. The coating flashes off quickly, dries fast enough for immediate racking, same day transfer, and next-day shipment, and delivers consistent color and gloss match without excessive film build.

Per-Fix Colormatch is intended for interior applications and limited exterior use and can be applied directly at the mold station or in a secondary repair area, minimizing downtime and reducing scrap, rework, and mold intervention associated with more invasive corrective processes.
