We are seeking an experienced HR leader who is ready to own the people function end-to-end and serve as a true thought partner to leadership who will go beyond process management to shape how the organization operates.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will work closely with ownership and senior leaders to align people practices with business priorities, while remaining closely connected to the day-to-day realities of the workforce and operation.

As a hands-on leader, you will guide leaders through complex employee matters, strengthen foundational HR processes, and build the structure, consistency, and clarity needed to support continued growth.

This role is ideal for a leader who is comfortable operating with both autonomy and accountability in a lean environment. Role Overview

You will serve as Chem-Pak's lead for all people operations, with full ownership of both strategy and execution across the employee lifecycle. As the sole HR leader, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with ownership and senior leadership to align people practices with business needs.

This role is well-suited for a leader who is comfortable moving seamlessly between big-picture thinking and day-to-day realities, building structure where needed while staying grounded in the operation.

Title and level (HR Manager through HR Director) will be determined based on the right candidate's experience and fit. We are open to the full range.

What You'll Do

This role spans the full people function, with a balance of strategic influence and hands-on execution. You will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, guiding decisions related to workforce planning, organizational structure, and employee-related risk
  • Own and evolve the people function, building and refining policies, processes, and systems that support a growing organization
  • Lead talent efforts end-to-end, including recruiting, onboarding, and development across both hourly and management roles
  • Guide managers through employee matters, including performance management, coaching, investigations, and complex employee relations situations
  • Ensure compliance and reduce risk, maintain strong, practical alignment with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Oversee benefits and leave programs, managing vendor relationships, open enrollment, and employee communications
  • Strengthen HR operations, including HRIS integrity, reporting, and partnership with Finance on payroll coordination
  • Support a strong and connected culture, through training, communication, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Leverage data and insight, using workforce metrics to inform decisions and improve organizational effectiveness

What You Bring

You are a thoughtful, business-minded HR leader who is comfortable operating with both autonomy and accountability. You bring:

  • Progressive HR experience with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
  • A strong foundation in employee relations, compliance, and employment law, paired with sound judgment and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to build, improve, or scale HR processes and systems
  • Confidence in advising and influencing leadership, particularly in complex or sensitive situations
  • Experience across core HR functions, including recruiting, benefits, and performance management
  • Comfort working in a lean environment, with ownership of the full HR function
  • Strong communication and interpersonal presence, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
  • A practical, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on outcomes

Additionally valued:

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or similar operational environments
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
  • Experience supporting organizational growth or transformation
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and payroll coordination (ADP experience a plus)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and scope
