What You'll Do
As the Batching Supervisor, you'll oversee all batching operations to make sure chemical formulations are produced safely, accurately, efficiently, and according to customer specifications.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead the daily activities of the batching department and assign work priorities
- Coach, mentor, and develop batching employees
- Conduct training, performance evaluations, and ongoing coaching
- Foster a culture built on accountability, teamwork, and respect
Production & Operations
- Ensure formulas, batch records, and manufacturing instructions are followed accurately
- Coordinate daily activities with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning
- Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities as needed
- Ensure batching equipment is operating safely and efficiently
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and GMP requirements
- Investigate batch deviations and implement corrective actions
- Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping
- Monitor inventory usage and identify opportunities to reduce waste
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and workflow
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Encourage employee involvement in problem solving
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Five or more years of experience in chemical manufacturing preferred
- Two or more years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Experience with liquid blending, batching, or aerosol manufacturing is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, HazCom, and SDS requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP/manufacturing software
Working Conditions
Full-time, onsite position based in Martinsburg, WV. Manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and industrial equipment. Frequent standing and walking, occasional lifting up to 70 pounds, and required use of PPE.
